(no subject)

I have been lacking exercise. Ugh, midterms.
  • Friday - nope. Studied for midterms and then went out.
  • Saturday - late brunch @ Souplantation with roommates, then farted around. Tried to study.
  • Sunday - woke up late, stayed at the library until 10:00pm studying.
  • Monday - took a midterm. Then studied for another one.
  • Tuesday (today) - took another midterm... then my period came. And now I feel hella tired.
:/ That's a week of being inactive! *feels muscles deteriorating* Back to the daily grind... starting TOMORROW! Hope everyone is having a better week (that's not filled with midterms)!

Summer session is kicking my ass, and it's NOT getting in shape (haha geddit? ;P). Two midterms on Thursday, a lab report due tomorrow, and a lab report due Thursday. Long, long day yesterday. Was up for 20 hours, volunteered in the morning (fun), hung out/played pool in the afternoon... then that was pretty much it... I haven't been exercising very much recently :( :( :( I hope I could get at least 4-5 days of exercise in next week.

I think I'm going to drink water and then go take a nap... so very sleepy.

I can't believe Michael Jackson passed away today (or technically, yesterday since it's 12:10am now). :( :( He was an amazing singer and performer! He may have had his less than ideal moments, but that doesn't take away from the music he has created or the road he paved for other musicians/artists and everything else that he has done! RIP, Michael Jackson....

Yesterday just did level 1 of "30 Day Shred." :x Didn't do anything extra... decided to take it easy. Today, went swimming for 30 minutes, then did level 1 of "30 Day Shred." Then I gorged on pizza and key lime pie. :x SO BAD. Tomorrow... major room cleaning to do... hopefully clean the house as well then I'll do "Plyometric X." I really, REALLY want to finish cleaning my room and get all my stuff together, since I'm going back to my university for summer school :(

Day 6

Did level 1 of "30 Day Shred" and it was harder today than last week for some reason... then did day 3 of the c25k program. I is sleepy. Pictures and measurements will have to wait. zzzz

Day 5

Back after a weekend in Vegas! Vegas was fun, not as hot as I expected. I expected to pig out at the buffets, and I did (unfortunately), but I made sure to eat some fruits and vegetables along with the other delicacies :P I didn't do any exercise at Vegas, maybe except for some light walking.

Today will be considered Day 5, because it is the 5th day I will be exercising :P I think my counting of the days is a little weird, oh well. I did the "Plyometrics X" DVD from the P90x workouts today, and I am proud to say I stuck with it and didn't stop once! I did, however, modify some of the moves (less jumping, lower squats, no jumping, etc). I'm just really happy I finished the whole DVD! It was a really good workout. My shirt was even more drenched than the first time I did it. I wonder how I'll be feeling tomorrow? lol. As for my before pictures, I already took them, but I don't want to post them up without my measurements.. which I will do tomorrow morning because I am sleepy right now. Haha. Okay, bye~

Day 3 & 4

Yesterday I did week 2 and day 2 of the c25k program, then I did "Stretch X" because my calves were really tight. I really enjoyed "Stretch X," I felt a lot better after doing it! Today I did maybe 75% of "Plyometrics X" and boy, did it kick my butt! The back of my shirt was all sweaty! Tomorrow I'll be driving to vegas for the weekend, which means not much time for working out. I'll try to walk around the strip more~

Any how, I will be posting my before pictures when I get back. :X Kind of nervous!

Day 2

Since I took such a long hiatus from exercising regularly, I didn't feel right continuing with whatever day number I left off at :P Which is why the subject of this entry is "Day 2." Went to the dentist today; I can only use the right side of my mouth to eat. SO inconvenient! Bleh. I did "30 Day Shred" on level 1 again, then I attempted to do "Cardio Synergistics" of the P90X series. Dude, it was hard. I could only do half of those moves! The upper body/core moves were really hard for me. For the last 20 minutes of the DVD, I just watched... I guess this just means I have a very weak core, and a very long way to go :X Must keep at it!!

PS. My core and thigh areas are a little sore... Hmms

Summer!

Second day of my short summer break before summer school starts! I was planning to work out when I got back (Saturday) but... laziness set in. And lack of motivation. Especially since it was so nice to be back home after being away for close to two months! Any how, I exercised today. Level 1 of the "30 Day Shred" and then week 2 of the c25k program. To be honest, I was surprised I could start from week 2 and not week 1, since I haven't really exercised in a while. The last time I exercised was probably Tuesday of last week. Bleh! My brother is tempting me with cheese quesadillas... must not give in! I'm supposed to be losing weight/getting fit these two weeks at home, not gain weight! lol

Spring Break!

Ah, spring break is finally here! I am pretty happy with myself... I did Level 1 of the "30 Day Shred" and then I did week 2 of the couch to 5k plan :) I haven't been consistently doing the "30 Day Shred"... which is why I'm still on Level 1... even though I don't sweat as much/don't get such a big work out from Level 1 any more... I just feel that I shouldn't move on to Level 2 until I am able to do REGULAR push-ups... I don't know why :P I just feel like that, haha. However, I do get a great workout when I use my 3lb dumbbells for the exercises. When I was at school, I had my shampoo/conditioner bottles, which don't weigh 3lbs, since I don't get as good of a work out as when I use my weights :P

Anyway, hopefully spring break is the jump start I need!

PS. Now that I'm home, there's so much delicious home cooked food that I KNOW I'm eating more than usual... I'll just up the amount of exercise I do.. I didn't eat breakfast today... But I think eating breakfast really helped me lose weight... I gotta sleep earlier/wake up earlier so I could eat breakfast! No excuses!

Laziness

I feel so lazy and unmotivated to do anything. Midterm(s) coming up, yet I haven't really studied for them. Assignments due, and I haven't really started on those, either. I guess this all boils down to self control (which I have none of) and my love/hate relationship with procrastination. Time is going by fast and slow. This quarter is going by pretty fast. What have I been doing!? lol.

Anyway, here is a website I've been hooked on lately :P Pretty funny... and sometimes pretty fucked up, lol.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

I haven't gotten sick in a while, and then I got REALLY sick last Tuesday.... I don't like to take medicine, because I want to rely on my own body fighting the illness, but, it got so bad that I took meds! :O And I'm taking cough medicine right now. I hope to God that this cold/flu/bug goes away ASAP, because I've been sick for a week now. I only just started to take the cough medicine. Before, I took Nyquil, but, it didn't seem like it had any effect. If anything, it seemed as if my cough got worse. Sigh. All I can do is to drink more water, and sleep as early as possible (ha).

Since getting sick last Tuesday, I haven't exercised at all. I am planning to go swimming, since it's rumored that the pool at my apartment complex is heated :P Seeing as how sick I am (about to cough up a lung status), I don't think exercise/swimming would be the best idea. Once I get better, though, I'm going to dive right in ;P (Geddit??? haha)

Anyhow, homework beckons.

Day 7

I thought i would be able to advance to level 2, but, after doing the stationary bike and weight machines, I was sweating a good amount during "30 Day Shred"! I guess if I don't go to the gym before using the DVD, I'll do level 2, but, if I do go to the gym, I'll do level 1. Anyway, I'm going to study now! Midterm is tomorrow! And I'm not sure if I'm ready yet! 

Bah, my throat feels a bit funny. Better drink lots of water/sleep more. Can't afford to get sick now!!!

It starts with a "P" and ends with a "N"

What does that spell? Procrastination! (Btw, "a N" sounds kinda weird. maybe "an N" would sound better? But that wouldn't be correct :0)

Did Level 1 yesterday, making it Day 5 of the "30 Day Shred," and I did not sweat that much! Compared to the first time I did it, I only sweated a little. That means some sort of improvement/progress, right? Although push ups are still super hard for me, and I still do the modified version (even the modified version is hard!). And my arms are still weak... when I do the strength training with my ~30oz shampoo/conditioner bottles... my shoulders/arms feel like they're about to fall off! Hahaha. Then I did "Total Body Burn" from "Hip Hop Abs" and man, I sweat a lot more for that than for level 1 of "Shred"! I don't know if I'm making any progress, losing any weight, or even losing any inches... I'll probably measure and weigh myself this weekend. I'm also on my periodddd. But I don't know if that matters or whatever :P 

I have a biology midterm on Tuesday, we're getting tested on 5 chapters, and I have only finished and feel comfortable with one chapter. 4 more chapters to go! I want to finish at least 3 chapters tonight!!!!!! Dammit, I could do this! 

Today will also be Day 6 of "30 Day Shred" for me. I'll be doing that along with "Total Body Burn" after my roommate finishes running on the treadmill. I should be incorporating more cardio, but, I waste enough time farting around on the computer already... So I feel that I don't have that much time for working out and can only spare so much time. Yes, I have horrible time management skills. Alright. I'm going to continue studying!!

Quick Entry

I did do the "30 Day Shred" on Thursday (Day 4) morning, but, I didn't go to the gym before :O It's okay, because I did Level 2 on Thursday! And I was using my 40oz (~30oz since I used some) shampoo/conditioner bottles the whole time. Man, my arms were DYING. After the workout, my arms/hands were kind of shaking, haha. I think I'll stick to Level 1 for now, until I could do Level 1 with the shampoo/conditioner bottles without dying, and without getting sore the next day.

Midterm coming up on Tuesday, and I have yet to study for it. I'm going to study until my roommate comes home, then we're going to do a bit of "Hip Hop Abs" and then Level 1 of "30 Day Shred." Today will be my 5th (though not consecutive) day of "30 Day Shred." 

Alright. TIME TO STUDYYYYY... Man, I'm sleepy now. LOL

Day 3

20 minutes of stationary bike @ level 2 + weights/strength training + "30 Day Shred" =

Wow. I am sleepy. Tired. Haha! Doing "30 Day Shred" after all the gym stuff was HARD. I was sweating twice as much as the first two times I did the "Shred." I didn't want to use my roommate's 500mL water bottles because they were too light, so I decided to try my partially used Costco sized Garnier Fructis shampoo & conditioner bottles (50 oz each, but since I had used some, they were about ~38oz)... and damn, it was HARD. it felt like my arms were going to die. After doing everything, my arms felt like jelly. My roommate tried level 3... hahahhaha. and his shirt was DRENCHED. He's tired/sore right now, too :P My roommate ran on the treadmill for 25 minutes, did level 1 with me, then did level 3 by himself... I would be surprised if he WASN'T sore/tired! haha.

I think I will continue to use my shampoo/conditioner bottles, because they are pretty effective. I shall do day 4 of the shred tomorrow morning! Before I do, though, I will go to the gym and use the stationary bike for 20 minutes :3

Okay... time for school work! :X

5 minutes to spare

So, I didn't do "30 Day Shred" today. I was supposed to do it this morning with my roommate, but, I decided to be nice and let him sleep in a little :P (Haha, yes, I was sore and wanted some extra sleep as well :P) My calves are more sore, and more tight than yesterday... My roommate, on the other hand, is not sore at all! No where... no soreness any where!! My really in shape roommate says that his calves and his ass are sore still (from Sunday). Me, it's just my calves today.

I will be doing the the DVD tomorrow! For sure! And I'll be going to the gym~~ I am about to go to dance practice... Maybe around ~90 minutes of dancing? Yeahhhh. I hope we didn't learn too much new choreography last week.. since I didn't go :X 

I'm going to try to sleep early today! No later than 12!

Day 2 of Shred

So, yesterday was my first day of "30-Day Shred," and today I woke up with tightly coiled, semi-sore calves. I was surprised! Then, as the day went on, I realized that my abs were slightly sore as well! And my thighs! :O Today I did Day 2 at Level 1! And my calves feel even more tight than before... haha. I was planning to work on the stationary bike for 20 minutes as well, but... laziness won out :T I'm sort of happy that I at least did the DVD! I'll be doing the DVD tomorrow morning... maybe along with 20 minutes on the stationary bike. Alright, I need to sleep more and on time! I still have to fold laundry and put it all away... bleh~

30 Day Shred

So, I JUST finished doing Level 1 of the "30 Day Shred." Damn, I am surprised I sweat so much, lol. One of my roommates, a guy, did Level 1 with me, and he also sweat, but very little. Keep in mind that he is in VERY good shape. He does a lot of cardio and strength training. I didn't have weights with me, so I used 500mL water bottles. I think the hardest part of the workout was the push up part..... I'm very happy with the DVD, though!! Let's see if this DVD works ;P (But I have to commit to it and do it frequently ;P)

Now it's time to shower my sweaty self! And then finish my essay... and start studying ahead for my other classes >___< Super Bowl today! Oh well :P Homework first~

10 minutes to spare

Man, this has been one of the most stressful weeks for me this school year! Thankfully, it's Friday! Hurrah! But, I still have some stuff to worry about~ Priorities, priorities! Due to my stressful week... and midterms/essay/assignments galore... I haven't exercised since... Sunday!? Sad days. I think I will exercise today! We shall see... unless I decide to go to that party.... Party vs. Exercise?? I think exercise might win out, since I am very, very, unhappy with myself; the way my body looks, and the fact that I haven't exercised this whole week!! Arghhhh. Oh, "Hip Hop Abs" came in the mail on Monday! I was excited to start it with my roommates... but.... we never woke up on time... either I didn't wake up on time or he didn't wake up on time! Maybe I'll do it tonight as a warm-up to my gym routine. Wait... should I go to that party, or should I go to the gym!? Well, I wouldn't feel comfortable at the party, because I feel like a blimp.... and will probably be the chunkiest girl there... (Does any one know how to boost self confidence?? Or where I could get some? Hahaha :P) 

A few weeks until a couple of my girlfriends and I go to Vegas... I better work my ass off to make up for this week! Ahh, class in 10 minutes. Time to go!

Busy week

It's just as I predicted, I am posting in the midst of procrastination. Well, I want to put all of this week's midterms on paper (or blog) so I can visually see what I need to do:

Mon:
Review section for chem @ 7:00 pm
Tues:
Calc midterm @ 7:00 pm
Dance practice @ 9:00 pm

4 copies of rough draft due in section

I must make time for working out! Okay, let's see:

Mon:
3:00 - 4:30 pm: 30 minutes of stationary bike (HIIT)/25 minutes of strength training exercises/stretch-cool down
Tues:
8:00 - 9:15 am: 20 mins of HIIT on stationary bike/20 mins on treadmill/stretch-cool down
9:00 - 11:00 pm: dance practice
Wed:
2:30 - 4:00 pm: 30 mins of HIIT on stationary bike/25 minutes of strength training/stretch-cool down
Thurs:
8:00 - 9:15 am: 20 mins of HIIT on stationary bike/20 mins on treadmill/stretch-cool down
Fri:
3:00 - 4:30 pm: 30 mins of HIIT on stationary bike/25 mins of strength training/stretch-cool down

Looks good. Now I have to schedule in time to do homework/meet deadlines for assignments ;P Alright, I want to sleep by an early hour (for me, at least!)... and I still have some reading to do, so I'm going to end this entry here. Sweet dreams to all!
